About The Role We are seeking experienced 2x Road Workers/Labourers and 2x Plant Operators to join a regional infrastructure team supporting road construction and maintenance programs in the Yass & Gundagai areas. Working as part of a dedicated field crew, this role contributes directly to the upkeep and improvement of key road networks, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of people and goods across the region. $40$50/hour + super (pay rate varies for different positions) 8.5 hours/day, 76 hours/fortnight, 9day fortnight Contract length: 4 months, potential for extension depending on the project Must reside in Yass & Gundagai region Willingness to work overtime and attend callouts as needed Ability to perform physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently Must pass a National Police Background Check Commitment to following workplace safety standards and procedures Key Responsibilities Road Worker: Perform a variety of road maintenance and construction activities including patching, grading, drainage, and pavement works Conduct manual labour such as shovelling, compacting, and levelling Assist with traffic control setup and worksite safety measures Plant Operator: Operate small plant and tools safely, following all site and WHS protocols Operate construction plant and equipment (for Plant Operators excavators, skid steers, rollers, and loaders) Perform prestart inspections, maintenance checks, and basic servicing of machinery Collaborate with team members to deliver highquality outcomes on schedule Support emergency callouts and afterhours works as required Maintain accurate work records and comply with environmental and safety procedures About You Previous experience in infrastructure, bridgeworks, roadworks, motorway, civil construction or maintenance Proven ability to operate small plant and tools, with a focus on safe work practices For Road Workers: White Card, WOF, ClassC Drivers Licence (or above), Traffic Control certification (mandatory due to callouts) For Plant Operators: White Card, WOF, LR Drivers Licence (or above), experience operating construction plant such as skid steers and excavators, Traffic Control certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong awareness of workplace safety and compliance Physically fit, reliable, and willing to work in changing outdoor conditions Able to work independently or in teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders Full PPE is required to ensure safety Must have full Australian working rights Citizen, PR, or valid longterm visa holders only A satisfactory police check is required (can commence before clearance, subject to termination if adverse findings arise) Applicants are kindly asked to upload their tickets at www.charterdiligence.com.au/skilledhire Please Note We are also delivering projects in regional NSW locations including the Riverina Region, Broken Hill, Dubbo & Central, Wagga Wagga, Gundagai, Temora, Hunter Valley, Hay, Waratah, Nabiac, Maitland & Hunter, Singleton, Narrandera, Moruya, Goulburn, Albion Park, Wallendbeen, Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Tweed Heads, Mardi, Southern Highlands, West Wyalong, Tamworth, Cooma & North West.
