The Position The Integrated Family Services (IFS) Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the delivery of a high quality, culturally sensitive and accessible service to vulnerable children, young people and their families. The families we work with present with a range of complex issues including drug and alcohol, family violence, mental health, homelessness, and cycles of disadvantage and poverty. Through outreach, primarily in the family home, the IFS program offers a longer term, voluntary case management model incorporating comprehensive safety and risk assessments, case planning, group work, and linkages with informal and formal community. Baptcare is an active member of the Child and Family Services Alliances in Brimbank Melton and Western Melbourne areas. The IFS Practitioner maintains service excellence by providing leadership, consultancy, advice, supervision, support and monitoring of services to families referred through the Child First system. The Team Leader works closely with their team, Program Manager and Integrated Child and Family Services, to ensure that services are delivered within the relevant guidelines, budget and reporting requirements of the Department of Health and Human Services (DFFH). A key focus of the role is working in partnership with other services involved to provide an integrated service within the Best Interests Case Practice Framework. About You A proficient people manager, including ability to supervise, coach and develop staff Familiarity with program-funded environments and risk assessment frameworks Ability to oversee operations, including effective delegation and prioritisation Ability to adjust to constantly changing situations while maintaining focus on delivery and follow-through Ability to think strategically, work creatively, effectively and in an innovative manner Excellent communication skills, in written and verbal English, highly impactful influencing, negotiation, persuasion and problem-solving skills including capacity to develop trusted relationships with consumers and community Evidence-informed understanding of child development and the impact of trauma and violence on adults, children, and young people Strong coordination skills to implement new frameworks, model including application and research and building evaluation Stakeholder management and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with local movements and networks, government associations, business leaders and other relevant stakeholders Qualifications and Experience Tertiary Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or other relevant Human Services qualification A minimum of 5 years field experience, including leadership experience Current Police Check (national and international if relevant) Current Working with Children Check Victorian Driver''s License What Is in it for You?
