Plant Manager At Solina, our community of close to 5,000 people share a passion for food and live our entrepreneurial culture. Plant Manager Primary Location: Somerset, New Jersey. Responsibilities Establish achievable goals and track progress of yields, labor, and related expenses. Train and coach supervisors/management to recognize opportunities and realize their impact on the operation. Identify opportunities and implement solutions. Formulate or approve shortand longterm operating objectives in cost reduction, quality improvement, new product development, and integration at the plant level. Budget & Operations Establish accurate fixed and capital budgets for annual planning. Ensure the operation functions within cost and budget to contribute to total P&L. Manage service vendors, local municipal relationships, and environmental programs. Safety & Quality Ensure efficient and profitable operations by conforming to specifications and procedures. Collaborate with the Quality Department to meet all production specs and procedures. Train, manage, and direct support staff activities, including HR/Safety, Food Safety/QA, Accounting, Maintenance, and Production supervision. Ensure plant operations are consistent with Solina standards and produce safe, quality products efficiently. Maintain open communication and approachability at all employee levels to foster a positive team environment. Required Skills, Education, And Experience Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a fouryear college or university. 10+ years of plant management experience. Formal Lean Manufacturing training (a plus). Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures. Knowledge of dry seasoning blending and packaging experience (preferred). Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated track record of working with crossfunctional global teams and working autonomously. Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives. Solid understanding of OSHA, DA and Food Safety regulations. Interpersonal skills to interact with diverse groups within and outside the company. High level of written and verbal communication, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability. Excellent problemsolving skills and innovative ideas to meet customer demands. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially SharePoint, Excel, and Word. Salary range: $135,000 $155,000 annually.
