The original plant was capable of processing 40 head of cattle per day to supply the local surrounding butchers. His son, Ian Kennedy, took the reins as Managing Director in 1965. His innovative approach, business strategy and continual entrepreneurial pursuits saw his ground breaking achievements include pioneering the first consignment of chilled beef to Japan and developing and launching natural beef brands into Japan in 1999.
