Overviewdomain Healthcare & Medical Residents & RegistrarsOn-sitePosted 2 days agoWA Country Health Service, Bunbury Hospital is seeking Advanced Trainee Paediatric Registrars for Fixed Term full time and part time appointment for 6 and 12 months commencing in February 2026, with possibility of extension(s).Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 27/02/2026.Position profileJoin us for a rewarding paediatric experience in a family-friendly environment, where passionate Paediatricians are committed to nurturing Advanced Trainees.Our service includes general paediatrics with a neonatal component, handling infants born at 34+ weeks or stabilizing and transferring 34 weekers. Explore our medical outpatient clinics, including a rapid review clinic and a neonatal follow-up clinic. Our busy Emergency Department has over 25% of paediatric presentations.As a Regional Paediatric Hub, on-call responsibilities involve fielding calls from local towns with consultant support. Our facility boasts a 12-bed paediatric ward, a 6-bed Special Care Nursery, and over 1200 births annually. We hold RACP accreditation for General paediatrics with a neonatal component, Rural Term, and Centre of Community Child Health.Engage in enriching teaching and learning experiences with weekly Paediatrics Playlunch lectures, video conferences to Perth Childrens Hospital grand rounds, monthly paediatrics x-ray meetings, bimonthly paediatrics neurology meetings, and weekly hospital Grand Rounds. Benefit from 4 hours of rostered non-clinical time every second Monday and actively participate in ED teaching, Ward Teaching, and Rural Clinical School Teaching.Your profile of work will involve collaboration with an on-call paediatrician with 24-hour resident coverage.
