Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Bega Group | Manufacturing, Operations, Trades & Engineering PortfoliosWork for an iconic Australian company!12-hour shifts with 6 days off in a rowtight knit team working closely togetherThe RoleOur Lenah Valley site in Hobart manufactures a range of more than 50 milk, milk-based and cream products, with all products made from fresh milk sourced directly from Tasmanian dairy farms. The site currently produces around 35 million litres of product every year, operating 6 days a week and employing around 50 people.We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our small, close-knit reliability team. This unique role is involved in all levels of mechanical maintenance tasks, including project work that will utilise your trade skills in a fully equipped maintenance workshop based on site.Work with automated manufacturing equipment and become an integral part of reliability & continuous improvement projects in this rewarding and challenging role. Our facility is tidy, well maintained and we work well together as a team. If you have a safety and improvement mindset, we would like to hear from you.This position works 12 hour shifts 3:30 a.m - 3:30 p.m and 5:30 a.m - 5:30 p.m on a roster of 3 days on, 1 day off, 3 days on, 6 days off, and also have opportunity for overtime.ResponsibilitiesProviding maintenance support and breakdown rectification to the siteAssist in the delivery of minor works and Capex projects on siteHelp identify and support opportunities for improvement relating to reliabilityPerforming scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks as well as maintaining high standards in Safe Work PracticesCoach operators in front line basic problems solving and root cause analysisAbout youCertificate 3 or higher in Mechanical EngineeringExperience in manufacturing and /or preventative maintenanceStrong knowledge of various maintenance methods and the ability to investigate problems, determine and implement root cause correctionsA commitment to safety and safe systems of workEffective and clear communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with lots of different people is a mustThe Bega Group StoryThe Bega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
