As a public hospital with clinical services provided byPeninsula Health, this facility willplay a key role in supporting the community be part of something bigger and help shape the future of healthcare in Victoria.THE POSITIONClean patient rooms, theatres, offices, restrooms, and public areas to maintain high hygiene standardsUse approved disinfectants, sanitise high-touch surfaces, and follow infection control protocolsPerform deep cleans in high-risk areas and handle biohazardous waste safelyStrip/make beds (ED), clean rooms post-discharge.Safely operate specialised cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and carpet cleaners.Operate, maintain, and check cleaning equipment and report faults or hazardsSafely segregate and dispose of general and hazardous wasteMonitor and replenish cleaning supplies; maintain accurate inventory recordsFollow all OH&S and hospital safety protocols, using PPE as requiredCollaborate with staff, attend training, and assist with onboarding of new cleanersMaintain professional conduct and support continuous improvement in cleaning standardsExperience and QualificationsPrevious experience in commercial or healthcare cleaning is preferredKnowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning practicesUnderstanding of infection prevention and control proceduresValid Police Check and Working with Children Check (employee version), or willingness to obtain.Ability to utilise smart devices daily to manage and monitor daily cleaning task in roleCovid Vaccination x 3 and up to date Flu vaccinationsSerology requirements signed off by GP (mandatory role requirement)Competency RequirementsCustomer service orientated and attention to detailSelf-directed and working as part of a teamCapacity to resolve conflicts and negotiate with othersFollow instructions and take directionUnderstand and follow hospital infection control protocols and adhere to workplace safety regulations and use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly.THE PERSONAre reliable, professional, and committed to safety and service excellenceThrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environmentsDemonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skillsAre flexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesRelevant experience in a similar security and/or administration positionExperience in a healthcare environment desirable.Valid Police Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC)National Police Clearance (within 6months)First Aid/CPR CertificateCovid VaccinationSerologyEVENT DAYS:Monday 20th of October 2025Monday 27th of October 2025Monday 3rd of November 2025Monday 10th of November 2025Monday 17th of November 2025THE BENEFITSEasy access to 100+ retail discounts.Opportunity to learn new skills and move to different internal roles.A chance to join an ecologically and socially forward operationNew Opening in the Frankston Area #J-18808-Ljbffr
