Job Description

Practice Manager Litton Andrews (LA Medical Recruitment) providing a total medical/healthcare recruitment and consultancy service. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Practice Manager to lead a dynamic team in a respected respiratory and sleep medicine group. This role involves overseeing practice and administrative functions, supporting clinical efficiency, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring delivery of exceptional patient care. The position is ideal for a seasoned senior medical secretary or practice manager with proven skills in a similar environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities Lead the daytoday running of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient operations Manage and support the reception/administration team, including recruitment, training, rostering and performance Manage patient billing for both clinics and procedures (including inpatient billing) Build strong relationships with doctors, nurses, patients and external partners Streamline and enhance systems, policies and procedures to improve service delivery Monitor budgets, billing and financial performance Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and regulations Contribute to strategic planning and growth of the practice The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will be a confident, organised, peoplefocused leader with proven experience in healthcare practice management. Strong problemsolving skills and a commitment to patient and clinical team support are essential. Required Experience and Skills Previous experience as a Practice Manager or in a senior administrative role in a specialist private practice (respiratory, sleep medicine or similar) Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff Excellent organisational, timemanagement and prioritisation abilities Sound understanding of medical billing, Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and private health fund processes Proven ability to manage budgets, financial reporting and business performance metrics Knowledge of practice management software (Genie, Gentu, HealthTrack or similar) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clinicians, patients and external stakeholders Proactive approach to problemsolving and continuous improvement Experience implementing and refining systems, policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency Commitment to maintaining a professional, patientcentred culture within the practice Remuneration and Opportunity This fulltime position offers a competitive hourly rate based on 3840 hours per week, negotiated according to experience and skills.
