OverviewCorowa, New South Wales Part-time Customer Service OfficersTwo positions available.The opportunityAre you passionate about providing exceptional service and making a positive impact on your community? Federation Council is looking for two dynamic and dedicated part-time Customer Service Officers to join our team in Corowa. This role focuses on providing exceptional service to the community, promoting a professional image of Council, and supporting efficient operations.ResponsibilitiesProvide friendly, respectful, and responsive face-to-face, phone, and online customer service.Accurately processing customer requests, inquiries, and complaints using the Councils Customer Request system, and resolving customer issues efficiently.Handle frontline financial transactions, including receipting payments, balancing daily cash, and assisting with bank deposits.Operate the switchboard and manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier services.Perform general office duties such as photocopying, printing, preparing correspondence, and managing stationery supplies.Collaborate to manage administrative functions, including booking calendars for halls, sporting grounds, and parks.Uphold the Councils Customer Service Charter and commitment to service excellence.Essential Key Criteria to Address in ApplicationsPrevious customer service or call centre experience, preferably within the Local Government sector.Hold a current and valid class C drivers licence.Experience in cash receipting, cash handling and banking procedures.Advanced skills in software packages such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Word, Email systems, internet searching, and Records Management systems (e.g., Content Manager/TRIM).Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to understand and relate to a diverse range of individuals.Ability to meet the capability requirements as defined in the focus capability statement.Hours, salary and employment detailsHours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 30-minute lunch break, 6 days per fortnight on a rotating roster. Total hours per week: 19.5.Salary: commencing at $34.63 per hour, progressing to $38.22 per hour dependent on skills and experience.
