As an Automotive Mechanic at TCR, you will Utilise your technical skills and experience as a tradesman to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment. Conduct preventive servicing, data collecting to create daily reports as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard. Promote a safety-first approach. Collaborate with fabricators, technicians and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions. Utilise the wide variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment as an opportunity for you to bring a wide collection of knowledge & skills to the role. Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free work environment to support safe and efficient operations. Collaborate with the team to maintain multiple unique GSE specialised equipment such as belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, baggage tractors & trailers and high loaders. What were looking for Relevant Mechanic Trade Qualification such as Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology, Automotive Electrical Technology, Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualifications. Have your own tools. Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical fault finding is highly regarded. Hold a current and valid State Drivers License. A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures. Experience working within procedural guidelines. Good communication skills and proactiveness. A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player. Pre-employment police and medical checks are mandatory for this position.
