Position Overview: As an Intermediate Mechanical / Piping Engineer at Equinox Engineering, you will play a key role in delivering engineering solutions across multidisciplinary projects. You will be responsible for carrying out piping and mechanical design, preparing engineering documentation and design implementation while working closely with project managers, designers, and other engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities Develop and review piping and mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Perform equipment layout studies and material selection for piping systems, coordinate stress analysis with stress engineering team. Collaborate with drafting teams to prepare and check 3D models, P&IDs, and isometric drawings. Prepare datasheets of mechanical design of static, rotating equipment and packages, ensuring integration with associated system. Prepare Material Requisition for Mechanical Equipment and packages, piping and fitting, valves. Evaluate vendor offers and prepare Technical Bid Evaluation report. Perform post order vendor coordination and vendor document reviews, ensuring integration of the package/ component with balance of plant. Occasional visits to Client site for data collection/ meetings. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and progress reporting. Conduct technical reviews and provide engineering input throughout the project lifecycle. Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and technical proposals. Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are incorporated into designs and practices. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver highquality engineering solutions on time and within budget. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. 58 years of experience in mechanical/piping engineering within the oil & gas, energy, or related industries. Knowledge of relevant International and Australian codes and standards (ASME, API, AS, etc.). Experience with 3D modelling software (SmartPlant, AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks or equivalent). Strong technical writing and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
