This includes patient flow, staffing management and coordinating and directing clinical care to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Ensure the provision of an appropriate and safe standard of clinical care. Assume responsibility for providing leadership, direction and coordination of patient care. Ensure the effective functioning of the nursing team in the coordination of each team member providing care. Ensure all nursing staff in the ward practice safely, are competent and work within their scope of practice. Assist the Nurse Manager to ensure that the ward is managed effectively and within budget allocation. About You Ability to manage and engage teams. Postgraduate nursing qualifications or working toward. Understanding of the complexities of a paediatric tertiary referral environment.
