ACC Singleton (ACCS) is located in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, offering programs from Prep to Year 12. The College has experienced growth in student numbers and improvements in student learning results in recent years. During 2025, work will commence on a new 18-classroom building to accommodate growth from 420 to 600 students over the next 5 years. With plans for a new state-of-the-art Junior School Building and expanding leadership structures, the school is growing. The Assistant Head of Junior School will support the Head of Junior School in maintaining a positive culture and excellent teaching practice as the College grows. ACC Singleton advocates teacher-led Direct Instruction within a knowledge-rich curriculum, and the successful applicant will support and enhance this approach to student learning.The Assistant Head Of Junior School will collaborate closely with the Head Of Junior School to lead in the following areas:Maintaining a positive behaviour culture through managing mid-level behaviour issues.Overseeing curriculum compliance and the implementation of new syllabi.Overseeing the Junior School Student Leadership program.Supporting the Head of Junior School in the organisation of key Junior School events.Managing weekly Junior School events such as student briefings and assemblies.The role will include a 0.6 teaching allocation.
