Level 6/7: $97k - $107k + superannuation Six weeks of annual leave Professional career development support and training Job Overview In this role, you will ensure the effective management and daily operations of the Council''s Waste Transfer Stations. You will develop new policies and procedures, liaise with contractors and service providers to maintain a safe and secure environment, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. You will also develop and implement work rosters for staff and provide regular feedback and advice to the Director of Infrastructure and Operations. Your responsibilities include responding to community requests for information and service. Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of Waste Transfer Stations. Develop and implement policies and procedures for waste management. Coordinate with contractors and service providers. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements. Develop and manage staff work rosters. Provide timely feedback to the Director and respond to community requests. Qualifications A tertiary-level qualification in Waste Management or a related discipline, or extensive industry experience in environmental/waste management. Well-developed supervisory and contract management skills. Experience in interpreting and implementing policies and legislation. Proven cash handling and reconciliation skills. Proficient computer, data entry, and numerical skills. A current NT Drivers licence.
