The Role The role of the Technical Support Officer is to maintain the schools Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and network, ensuring reliability and sustainability to enhance the learning environment. The successful applicant will ideally provide advice on technical issues and collaborate with administration to maintain and develop the network system. Additionally, they will also provide technical support and training to all users throughout the school site on various software applications and provide access to systems and resources. The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of information systems and ICT equipment in accordance with the school business needs and Department of Education policies and guidelines. This includes maintaining accurate records of ICT assets and resources and the development, implementation, and monitoring of a replacement plan. We highly value applicants who have the ability to work as part of a versatile team, liaise with other Department of Education personnel and communicate with external providers. Experience working in a school would be highly desirable, and in particular, a thorough understanding of standard operating systems and their associated software.
