Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of food as per our restaurant''s menu. Please visit for further details of the menu at the Restaurant/Cafe. Responsible for monitoring the kitchen''s daily preparation and maintaining quality standards. Manage kitchen stock and maintain cleaning supplies. Keep records of temperatures of fridges, freezers and follow the HACCP plan. Prepare and cook a variety of food as per our menu, ensuring authenticity and high-quality presentation as per our menu. Supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring efficient workflow during service. Manage food costs and portions to control and maximise profitability while maintaining quality. Train junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety, and best practices. Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and communication regarding the menu and ordered items. Ensuring the correct temperature of the oven grill and other cooking equipment. Discuss food preparation issues with the manager and kitchen staff. Ordering foodstuffs and supplies and checking orders received for quantity and quality. Maintain the cleanliness of all types of kitchen equipment, like fryers, ovens, chargrills, stoves and other food processing items, like robot coupes, mixers. Explaining and enforcing the Occupational Health, Safety and Hygiene standards. Receiving and checking the quantity and quality of the deliveries, and storing and using them according to the FIFO rule. Qualifications Trade Qualification of Certificate III OR IV in Commercial Cookery or higher. Proven experience as a Chef (minimum 2 years preferred), experience in a similar kitchen is preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders. Have a passion for cooking. Be able to organize production schedules. Have knowledge of Food Handling and Food Safety procedures. Able to work well under pressure. Staff meals provided while at work. Schedule 8-hour shift (Monday to Sunday) 7.30 am to 3 pm (Rotating Roster).
