OverviewThe primary purpose of the role is to provide a high level of traffic control services in the maintenance and construction of infrastructure in line with Councils delivery and operational plans.ResponsibilitiesDeliver safe and effective traffic control services in accordance with provided work zone traffic management plans and in accordance with the Traffic Control at worksites manual and Councils category G registrationUse and maintain small plant and hand tools in a safe and effective mannerContribute to a positive safety culture within the organisation through completion of required documentation, reporting incidents/hazards/near misses and contributing to team discussionsAssist to repair potholes, edge wear, crack sealing and minor seals using bitumen patching techniques/products in varying weather conditions and ensure that bitumen is cleaned from plant and equipmentWe are looking for someone whoHas a safe working awareness and takes care of their own and others'' safety and wellbeing by following safe work practiceshas the ability to use a variety of work tools and resources to enhance work products and expand own skill setIs open to sharing knowledge and information with team members and other staffCan understand team objectives and work well as a teamQualificationsConstruction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)Class MR Driver LicenceSafeWork accredited certificate for Traffic ControllerSafeWork accredited certificate for Implement Traffic Control PlansAbout the RoleFull time: 76-hour fortnight (with opportunities for overtime)Salary: Range from $54,776 to $62,992 pa + 12% superContact: Kayden Challinor, Overseer Roads and Drainage Maintenance - 0488 689 652NOTE: As the activities of this position could involve exposure to Hepatitis A and B, the employee will be vaccinated against these hazards or required to provide proof of immunity against these diseases. #J-18808-Ljbffr
