Job Description

As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will be providing personalized home care support to older Australians from Kallangur to Redcliffe so they can continue living independently in their own homes. You will travel between clients homes, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed .99c per KM travelled while you are working).We have Permanent Part Time opportunities with shifts available between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and no evening or overnight shifts. This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking to make a positive impact in their community, while developing their skills and building a career.Key ResponsibilitiesDomestic assistance such as light house cleaning and meal preparationPersonal care inclusive of showering, daily hygiene, monitoring of health and wellbeingCommunity access to medical appointments and social activitiesProvide support with daily tasks and routinesBuild positive relationships with clients and their familiesSkills & ExperienceAn Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum thirdparty insurance.Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationshipsPassionate about making a positive impact in our ageing communityA current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant preemployment checks to ensure the safety of our clients.
