OverviewPosition Title: Full-time ChefAnnual Salary: A$ 77,000 + SuperannuationIntroduction: A large company in Nagambie is looking for an experienced & forward-thinking full-time Chef for an immediate start. Address: 470 Mitchellstown Rd, Nagambie VIC 3608ResponsibilitiesPreparing, cooking, seasoning & portioning a variety of dishes as the requirements of the RestaurantCarving and trimming foods to prepare them for different dishesMaintaining the superior level of product standards and high standards for food preparation, cleanliness and punctuality at all timesExamining foodstuffs to ensure qualityRegulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipmentSeasoning, garnishing and cooking food as per the standard recipesPortioning food in accordance with the serving orderedStoring food in temperature-controlled facilitiesPreparing food to meet special dietary requirementsEstimating food requirementsMinimising food wastageKeep up with industry trends and create new recipes in collaboration with the Head ChefAbility to train other kitchen staff on different cooking techniques and cooking procedures and outline the company policies and standardsPreparation, replenishment and rotation of stock in the kitchenManage relationships with distributors and resolve issues with vendors promptlyEnsure the workplace is clean and hygiene and always meet the standardsQualificationsMinimum Certificate IV in commercial cookeryExperience in modern Australian CuisineMinimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a full-service restaurant is mandatoryPassion for developing innovative menu items is an advantageAlways maintain a professional attitudeAble to work in a fast-paced environmentStrict compliance towards food safetyStrong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standardsGood team playerApplicationsApplications open on 24 October 2025 and close on 23 November 2025.
