Your roleAs a Client Service Officer with Court Services, you will play a vital front-line role supporting the operation of NSW Courts. From managing courtrooms, to liaising with stakeholders and providing administrative support to clients no two days are the same. Regional travel will be required. What youll doProvide high-quality professional services to clients throughout various courts within the hub and use computer systems to enter data accurately.Prepare, check and maintain courtroom environments in accordance with court protocols.Facilitate hearings, including operating audiovisual technology and coordinating remote appearances for the Judicial Officer.Conduct courtroom inductions and maintain order, including swearing in witnesses and monitoring witness rooms.Liaise with NSW Sheriff, NSW Police, legal practitioners, interpreters, support workers, Community Corrections and Justice Health personnel.Respond to the requirements of the judiciary and other key stakeholders in the courtroom environment to provide timely and effective responses.Provide a high level of clerical and administrative support to the Court and the registry office.Adapt quickly to working in different jurisdictions and teams.Maintain professionalism and composure when exposed to sensitive information and distressed parties. What were looking forValid Australian Drivers Licence.Strong communication and time management skills, adaptability, calm under pressure, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.Proficiency with different technologies or ability to quickly learn and use technology.Capacity to work in an environment with potential exposure to psychosocial hazards related to court services.High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.Willingness to travel to other locations within the hub; role operates out of the Parkes Local Court for 7-8 days per month, including possible overnight stays (16 nights per month on average).
