Selection Criteria Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers or Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health for Welfare Officers. Demonstrated high level clinical and consultancy skills and knowledge of assessment and evidence based interventions for children, adolescents, and their families/carers with high level acuity of mental health issues, including successful postgraduation experience in mental health services. For Registered Nurses at least 5 years fulltime equivalent postgraduate experience with postgraduate tertiary nursing qualifications in mental health, with at least 3 years fulltime equivalent experience in the specialty field or current enrolment in or commitment to enrol in an approved postgraduate course within the next 12 months. Proven ability to think critically, problem solve and make timely, sound clinical decisions whilst working autonomously. Demonstrated expertise in clinical leadership and clinical supervision to mental health clinicians from all disciplines, upholding standards of clinical practice. Demonstrated high level of knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework for working with children and adolescents with mental health problems, including a thorough understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007) and relevant NSW child protection regulations. Current unrestricted drivers licence and the ability to maintain; willingness to drive/travel long distances as required by the role.
