The Role Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Forklift Operator plays a key role in the daytoday operations of the Newcastle branch. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently coordinating the movement, loading, and unloading of mobile storage stock and equipment within the yard. Youll ensure all containers and products are handled with care, accurately tracked, and positioned to support smooth branch operations and customer delivery schedules. What will you be doing? Safely operate forklifts and equipment, following all PPE and safety procedures. Load, unload, clean, and prepare equipment to meet branch and customer requirements. Maintain accurate paperwork and promptly report any discrepancies or maintenance issues. Provide friendly, professional customer service when liaising with clients or working on site. Support team operations by assisting with general yard, delivery, and site duties as required. What makes you a great fit A safety first mindset. A positive attitude and a great personality. Numeracy, literacy and intermediate computing skills. Experience with hand tools. Qualifications and required experience Drivers license. Shipping container handling experience is desirable. Experience operating Container Reach Stacker and/or Container Side Picker is desirable. Extensive experience operating forklifts with loads up to 12ton, including toplift forklifts.
