These are termtime, fulltime positions offering the chance to make a real impact on student learning, sports development, and school community life. Key Responsibilities Assist with practical and theory HPE lessons across P12 Provide classroom support, differentiation, and supervision of students Support setup, supervision, and transitions during lessons Coach school sports teams in morning, lunchtime, or afterschool programs Travel as a support staff member to interschool and regional competitions Provide relief support when specialist HPE teachers are absent, ensuring continuity of sport programs Assist with administrative and organisational tasks, including event setup, uniform and equipment management Selection Criteria Qualifications CertificateIII/IV or Diploma in Sport Coaching, Fitness, or Education Support (or equivalent) Current First Aid and CPR certification Working with Children Check / Blue Card (mandatory) Futsal qualifications and experience would be beneficial however not a requirement Skills Coaching and supervision skills across a range of sports Strong classroom support skills, including assisting with practical/theory HPE lessons and managing transitions Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic schedules, including travel and afterhours commitments Excellent organisational skills for managing equipment, uniforms, and event logistics Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, staff, and parents Experience Demonstrated experience coaching youth sports or supporting schoolaged sporting programs Experience providing inclass support and working with diverse learners Experience assisting with school sports competitions, excursions, or similar events Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team under teacher guidance Background in managing multiple responsibilities in a school or sporting environment Generous staff discounts on Prep to Year12 student fees Free onsite parking Access to professional development and learning opportunities Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Access to onsite nurse and annual flu vaccinations Regular staff gatherings and endofyear celebrations Staff Wellbeing initiatives through the Staff Health and Wellbeing Committee About Us The Islamic College of Brisbane is a leading independent school committed to providing highquality education underpinned by Islamic values.
