Participate in a 24-hour on-call roster for crisis response. Deliver trauma-informed counselling and support to clients and their families. Facilitate medical and forensic examinations in collaboration with key partners. Maintain accurate records and contribute to service evaluation. Promote culturally responsive and integrated service delivery. What This Role Will Offer For You: Flexible rostering (evenings and public holidays) across a 24/7 on-call roster, with a minimum of two shifts per month. Essential Criteria: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling. Eligibility for appropriate professional registration or association membership. Selection Criteria: Tertiary qualification (minimum bachelors degree) in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Graduate Certificate in Human & Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma) and eligibility for appropriate professional registration or membership. Demonstrated crisis experience and/or counselling experience in a sexual assault or violence, abuse & neglect setting. Ability to work autonomously as part of the after-hours crisis roster and to respond to calls from the Emergency Department or NSW Police within one hour. Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics and effects of sexual assault, physical abuse, neglect and domestic violence and commitment to integrated models for working with clients who have experienced trauma. Demonstrated understanding of intergenerational trauma and the principles of cultural safety, with experience in or commitment to providing culturally responsive services. Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. Knowledge and understanding of the legal systems, legislation and policies & procedures relating to violence, abuse and neglect. Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence and willingness to use it for work purposes.
