Purpose As our Commis Chef, you will play a pivotal role in our team, learning from experienced senior chefs, showcasing your love for food, creativity, and strong teamwork abilities, collaborating to create dishes that leave a lasting impression. Primary Responsibilities Ensure that food presented to guests aligns with property standards and is served within designated timeframes, maintaining high quality and presentation. Adhere to local regulations related to health, safety, and compliance, with a solid grasp of HACCP management. Maintain accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in preparing food items. Receive ongoing training and guidance from senior chefs. Handle a range of kitchen tasks, from dishwashing to crafting delectable dishes. Skills & Experience Recognised culinary training and employment experience. Commercial cookery certification and preferably a safe food handling or food safety supervisor certificate. A passion for food, raw talent, and ambition. Openness to feedback and willingness to experiment with new ideas. Thriving in a fastpaced team environment. Clear and articulate communication skills. Flexible availability to accommodate shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
