About the role Step into a rewarding role as a Nursing Assistant where you will bring excellent customerfacing skills and a genuine passion to deliver an exceptional service to our donors. You will play a key role in supporting our donors through their donation process. Full training is provided so, along with the above, all you need is the curiosity and motivation to learn the process of collecting blood and biological product. Key Responsibilities Greet and interview potential donors to understand their eligibility and suitability to donate Create a donor experience theyll loveand want to come back Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests Set up machines and collections equipment Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets Monitor donors postdonation and assist them with rebooking their next donation Work collaboratively to achieve collection targets Required Skills & Qualities Be comfortable with needles and blood/biological materials Be comfortable occasionally travelling to regional areas of Victoria with our Donor Mobile Unit Team & overnight stays Occasionally lift between 922.7kg Support and foster a fantastic team culture Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday/Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts Benefits and Wellbeing Minimum 5 weeks annual leave (up to 6 weeks) Access to salary packaging with an option to package up to $15,900 for living expenses and $2,650 for meals and entertainment 14 weeks paid parental leave no waiting period for either parent Our dedicated employee assistance program Sonder, available 24/7 via app on your phone Plus, many more!
