The Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is located about 25km from Orange and 250km west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold dor bars from a gravity circuit and goldrich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit, and includes the globally renowned Cadia East Mine known for block caving. Who were looking for Are you an experienced electrician seeking a challenging and rewarding career in the mining industry? In this handson role you will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance, inspection, and repair of overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment across our surface and underground areas. You will ensure all lifting systems operate safely and reliably to support production and maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities Repair and maintain fixed overhead crane components Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and other electrical systems. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to create a secure work environment for all employees. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades for documentation and reporting purposes. Provide timely response to emergency overhead crane breakdowns to minimise downtime and production disruptions. Comfortable working at heights utilising EWPs and scaffolding, on both surface and underground situations whilst working with safety at the forefront. Requirements Trade qualification & electrical licence. Proven experience as an electrician in industrial settings, with specific experience in mining operations being a strong asset. Ideally with overhead cranes and lifting equipment. Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues. Strong mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams. HRWL (WP, DG, CB, RB, RI) and working at heights training highly regarded.
