Public Space Cleaner (6 Month Contract) Join our team at Sutherland Shire Council and help keep the Shire clean, green, and welcoming. Rising early, you will maintain the cleanliness of public areas across the Shire. About the Role In this physically active, handson role youll be responsible for litter collection, bin servicing, spot cleaning, and operating cleaning equipment in line with Councils safety and hygiene standards. Responsibilities Collect litter and keep public areas clean Servicing bins and disposing of waste Spot cleaning of public spaces Operate cleaning equipment safely Maintain logs and communicate any issues Requirements Valid Class C drivers licence Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or similar Strong customer service mindset and positive attitude Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and operate equipment Basic computer skills for task logging and communication Benefits & Package Package: From $63,360 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation Hours: Temporary full time (up to 6 months) 38 h per week with a 9day fortnight spread over 7 days Wellbeing benefits: fitness passport, employee assistance programme, annual flu shots, health & wellbeing programme, and novated lease options Application Procedure Apply online and submit your resume by 11:59pm Thursday 6November2025.
