Job Title Position: Permanent Location: Surat Basin Roster: 14:7 (14 days on, 7 days off) Hours: 10/11 hour days Rate: $82 per hour (Flat Rate) + Super (increase in Jan 2026) Allowances: Daily/Weekly site allowances, meals, accommodation & travel About the Role Core Talent is working with a leading contractor who specializes in Oil & Gas, Infrastructure and Energy Projects across QLD. They are currently seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to support a major project in the Surat Basin. This handson role involves a mix of equipment maintenance, installation, upgrades, testing, and technical support. Key Responsibilities Electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, and upgrades Operation and troubleshooting of equipment Field and workshop breakdown repairs HAVD dossier creation, auditing, and program improvement (per Australian Standards) Scheduling and planning of field and inhouse work Inventory and maintenance of electrical service vehicles General workshop electrical repairs (lighting, sockets, etc.) Power tool testing and tagging with record keeping Technical support to rig personnel (phone/email) Documenting troubleshooting guides and flowcharts Supervising subcontractors onsite and in the workshop Collaborating with engineers on design verification About You Youll bring at least 5 years'' experience in a similar E&I role and possess strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Youre capable of working independently and in a team environment.
