Permanent positions Parttime hours (varied) Classification Health Care Worker Grade 1 (IN37) Caulfield Hospital location Position Summary The role of the AIN is to support the nursing team in delivering safe, patientcentred care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Participate in delegated care delivery related to patient activities of daily living, ensuring patient comfort and needs are met. Assist in maintaining a safe patient environment and provide additional supervision where required. Assist with bed positioning, transfers, ambulation and other care activities as outlined in the AIN duty list. Provide general support to wards/unites to ensure effective and efficient care delivery. Required Skills & Qualifications Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Acute) or willingness to undertake additional units if required. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential. Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Willingness to contribute to quality patient care. Good interpersonal skills, including effective communication with staff, patients and families. Ability to follow instructions and complete delegated tasks within the required timeframe.
