About the role Join Box Hill Institute in an exciting opportunity as our Course Coordinator - Plumbing, where you''ll play a key role in shaping the future of education. Reporting to the Department Manager - Wood & Plumbing, this position is part of the Plumbing Trades area within the Faculty of Trades. The Course Coordinator - Plumbing at Box Hill Institute leads the delivery of high-impact vocational programs, driving excellence in teaching, student outcomes, and industry engagement. As a key operational leader, they manage educators, optimise resources, and ensure compliance, while fostering a dynamic learning environment. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, the role shapes future-ready education aligned with BHI''s strategic vision empowering students and staff to thrive. Salary for this position is EM1 $125,131 pro rata plus 12% superannuation. About you Your values align to ours. Together we are curious, trustworthy and compassionate. To be successful in this role, candidates must hold an AQF Level 5 or higher qualification, along with relevant vocational or professional credentials in their teaching area. You need to have extensive industry experience and a strong background in vocational education and training (VET), including teaching and assessment expertise. A deep understanding of VET policy, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks, such as SRTOs, ESOS Act, and VRQA Guidelines is essential. The role demands leadership capability in managing teams, driving continuous improvement, and fostering professional development. Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, budget management, and strategic planning are also required. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate advanced teaching methodologies, including inclusive practices for neurodiverse learners, and be committed to maintaining vocational currency through ongoing professional development. To be considered for this position, you must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.
