Working as part of the Parks Services team, you will beresponsible for providing day to day direction and support to ateam of seven Reticulation Maintainers and relevant contractors.You will ensure irrigation systems are maintained in accordancewith standards and groundwater resources are utilisedefficiently. As well as being a highly effective communicator, you will haveextensive experience in working with commercial irrigation systemsand have detailed knowledge of bore and pump operation; andmaintenance. This role involves working out in the field alongsidethe team as well as supporting the Irrigation Supervisor withadministrative tasks. Therefore you will need to be comfortable andcompetent with relevant office based duties and computer use. Theability to diagnose system faults independently and beself-motivated is imperative in this role. To be considered for this role, you must address thefollowing selection criteria as part of your onlineapplication: Extensive knowledge of the operation and maintenance ofcommercial irrigation systems Sound knowledge in controller troubleshooting i.e.identifying faults, malfunctions, etc. Sound written and interpersonal skills, particularly verbalcommunication Intermediate level of computer literacy skills Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, policies andpractices gross weekly wage of$1,559 which incorporates all allowances and penaltyrates, as well as: 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to afurther 5% A variety of health and wellbeing programs including aphysical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $200 perannum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mentalhealth programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP)services Flexible working arrangements, including rostered days offand two additional paid days of absence per annum A culture of learning with training/developmentopportunities including paid study leave and study fees Salary packaging opportunities for motor vehicles,etc. An information package, including the position description isavailable on our website .
