$74,847 pa + 12% super + a 9 day fortnight!$74,847 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super (level 6)Please note, progression in remuneration (up to Level 8 $79,143 inc. allowances + super) is available for this position upon meeting performance and training requirements outlined in a structured crew leader framework.76 hour fortnightJoin our Roads and Drains team in a handson leadership role that keeps our community moving. As Crew Leader of one of our asphalt crews, youll play a vital part in maintaining and repairing local road infrastructure ensuring we are doing our best to maintain safety, durability and quality for everyone who travels through our region.ResponsibilitiesPerform road remediation tasks including pothole patching, edge repairs and failure rectification.Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment relevant to asphalt work.Identify road infrastructure defects, diagnose causes and recommend repair methods.Manage asphalt truck operations and assist with driving duties.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.Lead your crew in planning, scheduling and record keeping for maintenance activities.QualificationsRecent handson experience in road maintenance or construction, especially with asphalt.Physical capability and safety awareness for manual tasks.Leadership experience and a collaborative mindset.Basic technology skills to manage work orders and schedules.Strong communication skills to work effectively across teams.Traffic Management Implementation Qualification.Medium Rigid (MR) class truck licence or higher.Construction Induction card (or willingness to obtain before starting).Certificate III in Civil Construction or another related field highly desirable and required to advance within the Crew Leader Framework.BenefitsNineday fortnight for a better worklife balance.Advance your skills and career through our Study, Training and Research Scheme (STARS).Salary packaging options: novated leases, superannuation payments, smartphones and devices.Health and wellbeing support: discounted health insurance, free annual flu vaccinations and a Fitness Passport Program.24/7 confidential counselling, leader support hotline and Mates in Construction programme.Free local parking on depot sites.As part of the recruitment process, applicants will be required to undergo a National Criminal History Check.City of Moreton Bay extends across the traditional lands of the Jinibara, Kabi Kabi, and Turrbal peoples, and we acknowledge and pay respects to our Traditional Custodians.
