Salary $104,722 - $113,618 p.a. (AO5) Ref QLD/666099/25 Tewantin (Negotiable within South East QLD & Coastal Island Regions), QLD Were looking to add to our team of rangers within our Regional Fire Teams within South East Queensland (SEQ) and Coastal & Islands (CIR) Regions in leading the management and protection of our protected areas. We work in partnerships with local communities and other stakeholders to contribute to responsible land management, recreational and conservation outcomes across the protected areas. These roles focus area is fire management which can be very physically demanding. The positions are directly involved in the coordination and delivery of the regions priority planned burn program, and response to bushfires when required. A key function will be to engage with departmental staff, key stakeholders and partner agencies with regard to fire management and the ability to effectively represent the department in these instances. About you There are no mandatory qualifications required to undertake this position, however the ideal candidate will be a team player that is passionate, positive and enjoys varied and interesting work, with a strong interest in fire management - no two days are the same. Your organisational skills will be key in managing competing priorities, while your ability to motivate and influence your team is important to achieving outcomes in a busy and changing environment.
