School Crossing Supervisor - Tweed Local Government Area Transport for NSW is hiring a casual School Crossing Supervisor to provide safe, reliable supervision at school crossing sites within the Tweed Local Government Area. The role supports safe travel to and from schools, ensuring children, parents, teachers and motorists go home safely every day. About the Role You will provide relief at school crossing sites during school term hours: Shifts may fall between 8:009:30AM and 2:304:00PM. Minimum onehour shift as required, Monday to Friday. Location: Tweed Heads, NSW 2485. Hourly rate plus superannuation. Responsibilities Lead and monitor road safety at designated crossing points. Ensure timely arrival and departure of students and staff. Respond to incidents and coordinate with emergency services when needed. Communicate with parents, teachers and community members to promote safe travel practices. Maintain accurate shift logs and incident records. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum age 18 years at time of appointment. Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check and Health Assessment; prior holding of a WCC is preferred. Reliable, punctual and able to work in all weathers Monday to Friday. Effective communication skills and situational awareness. Employment Details Job category: Safety. Job type: Casual.
