Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Planning Officer with compliance experience to join our Development Services team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the Shires compliance with local government regulations and planning frameworks as well as providing guidance and support to enforce the Shires development compliance obligations. Responsibilities Assess development applications and make recommendations to management. Monitor and enforce compliance with local planning schemes, policies, and regulations. Investigate and respond to development compliance related matters and prosecutions across the Shire, in a proactive and effective manner. Provide expert advice and guidance to the community, developers and other stakeholders on planning and compliance matters. Prepare reports, correspondence and other documentation related to planning and compliance activities. Collaborate with various internal departments and external agencies to coordinate planning and compliance efforts. Qualifications and Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning. Demonstrated knowledge of local government planning legislation, policies and processes. Ability to interpret legislation and regulations.
