A fantastic opportunity awaits for a qualified Plumber to join the Total Asset Maintenance Team in a permanent full-time role at Nepean Hospital. This dynamic position plays a key part in supporting Asset Managements mission to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective service outcomes through a whole-of-lifecycle approach. Responsibilities Corrective and preventive maintenance of plumbing and hydraulic systems across domestic, commercial, and institutional settings, ensuring all fixtures, fittings, and equipment operate at peak performance. Carry out installations and extensions as needed. Review hydraulic drawings for upcoming NBMLHD projects. Contribute to the afterhours emergency maintenance roster. NBMLHD is committed to implementing the child safe standards. Qualifications and Requirements Current trade qualifications with extensive experience in plumbing and gas fitting. Demonstrated knowledge of the WHS Act and relevant Australian Standards. Ability to perform plumbing work and associated physical/manual labour tasks safely, including scheduled maintenance on plumbing systems, back flow prevention devices, thermostatic mixing valves, and hot & warm water systems. Ability to read plans, specifications, and interpret drawings, and estimate cost, time and materials of plumbing works. Availability to be on an afterhours call roster and to attend works at the NBMLHD after hours when called upon. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to take direction from maintenance management, maintain a cooperative working relationship with management, other trades staff and hospital staff, and adhere to the Health code of conduct. Current drivers licence and willingness to use it for workpurpose travel. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and computerised maintenance management systems.
