MidCoast 2 Tops Landcare Connection supports Landcare groups from Hawks Nest in the south to Johns River in the north and west to Barrington Tops and Tapin Tops. This position will specifically serve the landscape of Upper Manning & Karuah River - Allworth, north to Nowendoc, west to Monkerai and Rawdon Vale, centred around Gloucester. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in, and commitment to, local environmental and agricultural land management issues - a proactive, community-minded individual with experience in project planning and management. The Role As the Local Landcare Coordinator, youll work alongside passionate local volunteers, landholders and community groups to support on-ground action for healthy landscapes and thriving communities. Youll help connect people, projects and partners - from local Landcare groups to agencies such as Hunter Local Land Services and MidCoast Council. Your work will include: Supporting local Landcare groups and landholders with planning and project delivery Encouraging community participation in Landcare activities Sharing stories, news and opportunities through newsletters and social media Helping with funding applications, reporting and record keeping Representing local Landcare interests in district and regional networks This is a parttime position funded under the NSW Landcare Enabling Program to June 2027, with the possibility of additional hours through other funded projects. About You Youre someone who enjoys working with people as much as being out on the land. Youre organised, a clear communicator, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks. Youll bring: Qualifications or experience in natural resource management, agriculture, or conservation Strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills Confidence with basic project management, reporting and digital communication A collaborative, cando approach and genuine care for people and place A current drivers licence, vehicle (for work travel), and Working With Children Check are required.
