Senior Compliance Officer Location: Scone, New South Wales Employment Type: Full-Time 35 hours per weekSalary: $1,466.90 to $1,744.10 per 35 hour week + 12% superBenefits: 20 days paid annual leave, generous sick leave entitlements, access to flexitime, training & development, long service leave after 5 years, salary sacrifice options, generous uniform allowance, flexible work arrangements, overtime opportunities Role Council has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Compliance Officer or Ranger to lead our compliance team. This position will be primarily responsible for supporting the management and operation of our animal management facilities, including the management of impounded animal returns and rehoming. The role will also undertake and oversee a number of other regulatory and compliance functions of Council, including Abandoned Vehicles & Items, Public Relations, enforcement of the Protection of the Environment Operation Act 1997 and protection of public land. What We Need From You A relevant Certificate IV qualification would be ideal, however we will certainly consider applicants with demonstrated knowledge and skills gained through onthejob experience in a compliance/enforcement field. High level communication skills, including the ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes. Proven ability to act independently in resolving problems often involving dispute or interpersonal conflict, by using advocacy and conflict resolution skills. Welldeveloped oral & written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise written documentation, e.g. for later use in legal proceedings. Competency in using uptodate technology (including software programs and mobile devices) to complete regulatory and enforcement tasks or responsibilities. The willingness and ability to perform regular oncall duties on a rotating roster.
