About the role The ResidentialInReach Program is a Department of Health funded program developed to prevent avoidable presentations to the Emergency Department for residents of aged care facilities if timely and appropriate care can be provided in the facilities. A Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse educated and authorised to function autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and extended clinical nursing role. The scope of practice for this position is an acute and primary health model of care for the older person. Within this scope of practice the RIR Nurse Practitioner enhances health care delivery and strengthens capacity to manage residents within a safety and quality framework in their home. You will bring: Minimum 5 years'' experience Master of Nursing Authorised to practise as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) together with demonstrated ability to meet the ANMC competencies for the Registered Nurse. Demonstrated advanced competency for Nurse Practitioner in Aged Care Current registered Nurse with AHPRA and NMBA with no restrictions to practice Compliance with the NMBAs registration standard on continuing professional development.
