About the Role Council is currently seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our team in the capacity of a Town Planner. Responsibilities Assess a broad range of development applications, including major and controversial developments. Provide policy advice to both internal and external clients in line with Councils statutory planning functions. Assist in the development, review and implementation of Councils development control policies and procedures. Provide input to the review and development of Councils strategic policy documents. Research, analyse and report on changes to NSW planning legislation, policy and guidelines. Contribute to the mentoring and development of junior planning staff. What You Need To Succeed To be successful as a Town Planner you will possess tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Urban and Rural Planning or a related discipline, hold a Class C Drivers Licence and a WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card), and demonstrate relevant experience. Strong communication skills, problemsolving ability and a cando attitude will be key to your success.
