Apply now Job no: 534132Work type: Permanent Full TimeLocation: Gold Coast, QueenslandCategories: Corporate/Property Support About the role: The role of an Investigations Officer is to review written and oral complaints and conduct investigations and inquiries on matters of concern across all areas of the business, inclusive of employees, patrons and companies. Key responsibilities in the role are, but not limited to: Manage and conduct background and internal investigations of employees and as directed, conduct specific executive, legal and audit investigations Conduct or oversee investigations as required of companies and individuals who wish to conduct contractual or other business with The Star Proactively liaise with the investigation units of other Hotels/Casinos for intelligence purposes and to keep abreast of any developments within the gaming industry Maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality relating to sensitive information Conduct inquiries in a fair and equitable manner and report and deliver recommendations within limited timeframes Develop and maintain a database to record all investigations, both internal and external, to assist in producing investigation reports in association with monthly and quarterly reporting alongside external regulator reports About you: To be successful in this role you will have: Minimum 3+ years experience in asset protection, legislation, law enforcement and compliance A good working knowledge of key stakeholders The ability to build relationships with law enforcement, gaming and surveillance teams Experience in conducting investigations and inquiries in the commercial field and preparing reports and submissions with appropriate recommendations Working knowledge of corporate investigation requirements About our culture: At The Star were committed to creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace which we know will contribute to exceptional experiences for our guests, a great place to work for our team members and positive outcomes for our communities.
