The position blends workforce planning and policy development with direct engagement in medical administration and health services operations. The JMO Manager plays a pivotal role in coordinating and supporting the Junior Medical Officer workforce across Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals. Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, onboarding, rostering, and welfare initiatives to ensure JMOs are well supported, maintaining compliance with accreditation standards and training requirements, and fostering a positive and productive experience for all JMOs. The role works closely with clinical departments, medical administration, education teams, Human Resources, and external bodies such as NSW Health, HETI, and Medical Colleges to support accreditation, training, and workforce planning. The ideal candidate has strong organizational and coordination skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, a compassionate, advocacydriven approach to supporting junior doctors, and a proactive, solutionfocused mindset. This is a fulltime position, Monday to Friday during standard business hours. What You''ll Be Doing Effective leadership and management of Junior Medical Officers (interns, Resident Medical Officers, Registrars, and Postgraduate fellows), including human resources functions, financial management, operational planning, and recruitment strategies. Daytoday supervision of the JMO Unit, including annual performance appraisals. Overseeing overseas doctor recruitment. Maintaining compliance with accreditation standards and training requirements. Collaborating with the Medical Services Leadership team, Human Resources, rostering staff, and clinical departments. Engaging with external bodies such as NSW Health, HETI, and Medical Colleges. Where You''ll Be Working Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region. Campbelltown Hospital offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and agedcare services, with specialised mental health and cancer facilities. Camden Hospital specialises in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care. How To Apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the following questions as thoroughly as possible: Previous experience in medical workforce management and demonstrated knowledge of the NSW Hospital Medical Workforce structure. Demonstrated ability to independently lead and manage a team of staff, including experience with highvolume documentation within a pressured environment. Welldeveloped interpersonal, communication, consultation and negotiation skills necessary to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. Ability to work with minimal supervision, organise workload, set priorities and meet deadlines. Experience in HR, recruitment and medical payroll services. Ability to interpret and apply industrial awards and NSW Health and SWSLHD policies and procedures. Excellent computer skills and experience with Healthroster and other medical workforce applications. Possession of an Australian CClass drivers licence (P1 or P2 included).
