All applications are to be submitted through eCredential only.To apply, please click this link: Overview: This is a temporary maternity relief position for 28 weeks, starting 27 January 2026. The position will be located primarily at Nepean Hospital within the Department of Renal Medicine. The successful applicant will provide inpatient and outpatient renal services at Nepean Hospital, Penrith Community Dialysis Centre, Katoomba Community Dialysis Centre, and other public specialist Renal Clinics within NBMLHD. The appointee will participate in oncall rosters and hold credentialing and privileges across other NBMLHD facilities.Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient specialist renal services to the community across NBMLHD; perform ultrasoundguided kidney biopsies and insertion of tunneled and nontunneled hemodialysis catheters; supervise and teach junior medical staff; participate in clinical nephrological research; if credentialled, partake in obstetric medicine oncall roster.Selection CriteriaRegistered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent, with specialist training and experience in NephrologyProcedural skills in ultrasoundguided kidney biopsies and insertion of tunneled and nontunneled hemodialysis cathetersTrack record in research and publications in NephrologyEvidence of continuing medical education and professional development through the Royal Australasian College of PhysiciansHigh level interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and working within a multidisciplinary environmentDesirable CriteriaTraining and/or experience in Obstetric Medicine.Conditions of AppointmentIn accordance with the Health Services Act 1997 and Staff Specialists (State) Award.
