Consultant Nephrologist & General Medicine - Bathurst, NSW Join one of Australias most vibrant regional health services and make a real impact in Bathurst, New South Wales. Head Medical are seeking an experienced Consultant Nephrologist with General Medicine skills to deliver high-quality patient care, provide clinical leadership, and support junior doctors in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. Lead nephrology services, including a Renal Dialysis Unit, while maintaining a varied general medicine caseload. Enjoy a diverse role with outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and participation in the physician oncall roster. Collaborate with local GPs to support management of CKD and reduce disease progression in the community. Live and work in the heart of regional NSW, with access to Sydney just a few hours away. Competitive remuneration - Salary Package $322,030 - $423,490 (commensurate with experience) The Hospital Bathurst Hospital is part of the Western NSW Local Health District, delivering a wide range of specialist services to a large regional population. The hospital provides both acute and elective care and plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patientcentred healthcare across Central West NSW. As a Consultant, you will be supported by a dedicated team of physicians, doctors in training, and allied health professionals, while contributing to teaching, governance, and quality improvement initiatives. The Role In this dual position, you will: Provide specialist nephrology care, including leadership of the Renal Dialysis Unit. Maintain clinical skills in General Medicine, supporting inpatient care and oncall rosters. Deliver outpatient nephrology clinics and supervise junior doctors to foster safe, effective practice. Play an active role in clinical governance, accreditation, and continuous medical education Requirements Eligible applicants will hold FRACP in Nephrology and General Medicineor equivalent international qualifications, such as CCT (UK), CSCST (Ireland), or Board Certification in Nephrology and Internal Medicine (USA), with completion of accredited specialist training programmes in their respective countries. RACP outcome (Substantially comparable) Demonstrate recent, relevant consultantlevel experience. Show a commitment to teaching, clinical governance, and quality improvement. Bring excellent communication and teamwork skills to deliver safe, patientfocused care.
