The Union Dairy Company (UDC), part of the Midfield Group, is currently seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our team based in Warrnambool, Victoria. The Management Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial operations, analysing financial data, preparing reports and providing strategic advice to support business decisionmaking. This role plays a key part in budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring financial compliance. Main Duties & Responsibilities Ensure compliance with company values, policies, Code of Conduct, accounting standards, ATO obligations and regulatory frameworks Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, payroll, bookkeeping and tax processes Prepare, analyse, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results; conduct variance and costbenefit analyses Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions Maintain internal controls, risk mitigation, and financial systems administration Liaise with auditors and support internal/external audit processes Identify and implement process improvements in financial systems and reporting Assist in strategic planning, financial modelling and monitoring performance Contribute effectively in meetings and undertake projects within skill base Promote workplace safety, complete task analyses, and maintain orderly work practices Skills & Experiences Strategic thinking, financial acumen and strong analytical/problemsolving skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial compliance, and reporting Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing abilities Attention to detail, time management, resilience, adaptability, and teamwork Bachelors in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance; CA/CPA preferred Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Proven experience in management or financial accounting Why Join Us?
