In this role, you''ll: Perform and assist the crew with maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and hand tools when required Monitor and inspect the quality of work performed by the maintenance crew Report and record inspections using IT tools such as iPads, mobile devices and Asset Vision Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise Be able to work autonomously and with limited supervision Travel extensively throughout the region to attend worksites including night work where scheduled Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards You are confident and have a keen interest and aptitude with all things tech and you are confident in operating and adapting to various systems! You are passionate about innovation and are proactively engaged in the rolling out of any new initiatives. You will have a sound understanding of road systems and networks, as well as proven experience working independently and collaboratively with others will be advantageous. Key to your success in this role is your ability to think outside the box and positively influence others to achieve quality outcomes. You will have proven experience operating at a Road Worker Grade 3 level or related experience in a civil construction environment (Please refer to the role description for further details) You must possess the following essential requirements: White Card Traffic Controller Card Implement Traffic Control Plan Traffic Controller Card Prepare Work Zone Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed You may be required to work outside normal working hours, occasionally work night shifts, attend after hour call outs and to work away from home when required. We take WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 100 km distance from the Yass depot.
