Role Overview Nepean Hospital is now seeking a motivated Clerical Manager to lead and support the administrative operations of our busy Emergency Department (ED). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role in one of the hospitals most dynamic and fastpaced environments. The Clerical Manager will oversee a dedicated team of administrative and clerical staff responsible for patient registration, admissions, records management and frontline customer service. You will ensure high standards of efficiency, accuracy and professionalism are maintained in all administrative functions that support exceptional patient care. This position will suit a confident and capable leader with strong communication skills and a collaborative management style. What You Will Bring To The Role Demonstrated understanding of the Treatment Performance targets Organisational skills of a high level with an ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines, demonstrate flexibility and show initiative whilst managing several projects concurrently Welldeveloped communication skills, both oral and written and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with senior personnel, departmental managers, staff and patients Experience in staff supervision, rostering, and management experience with an ability to lead team performance to achieve service goals Experience and/or knowledge of hospital computer systems such as iPM, FirstNet, HealthRoster and Microsoft Office products Demonstrated understanding of hospital revenue generation initiatives and how processes in the Emergency Department can assist in maximising revenue opportunities including patients right to elect to be treated as a private patient Analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to develop and implement solutions and changed procedures Demonstrated understanding and commitment to professional standards, development of staff and change management processes which are patient focused Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
