About this opportunity Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager Infrastructure Recovery to lead and manage the delivery of civil infrastructure recovery works following disaster events. This is a critical role in ensuring the timely and compliant delivery of projects funded under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA). This role will see you take the lead in planning, coordinating, and supervising emergency works and Reconstruction of Essential Public Assets (REPA), while liaising with funding bodies, contractors, and internal teams to achieve successful outcomes. The position is based in Beaudesert, but you may be required to work from any of Councils offices (Boonah and Tamborine Mountain) or facilities within the Scenic Rim. Additionally, youll also Manage the end-to-end delivery of emergency and REPA works following declared disaster events. Ensure Infrastructure Recovery projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. Lead contract preparation, tendering, and administration for construction and service delivery. Supervise internal teams and external consultants, fostering continuous improvement. Prepare and submit DRFA funding claims, and maintain accurate financial records through the MARS portal. Engage and negotiate with key stakeholders including QRA, government agencies, and property owners. Contribute to the development of quality, safety, and risk management systems within the department. Monitor contractor and staff performance, report on progress, and drive accountability. About you Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Deep understanding of DRFA, QDFG 2021, and local government frameworks. Proven experience managing post-disaster recovery projects and funding acquittals. Highly developed technical, financial, and leadership skills. Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and contractors. C Class Driver Licence and General Construction Induction Card (White Card). Whats in it for you?
