The Opportunity: ISS is seeking an experienced Chief Steward to lead the kitchen and dining operations at our remote mining villages in Central QLD. This is a unique DIDO opportunity for locals ofCentral QLD region to manage a high-performing team on a 2 weeks on /1 week off Roster, giving you work life balance. Lead, train, and inspire a team of kitchen hand and dining room attendants to maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards. Manage dishwashing operations, kitchen cleaning schedules, and dining room set-up/pack-down. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety, and hygiene standards. Collaborate closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and Site Managers to maintain smooth kitchen and service operations. Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and stewarding costs within budget. Support and mentor team members to deliver exceptional service daily. What you''ll get: Full-time employment with an immediate start. Highly competitive annual wage $80,000 - $90,000. To be considered, you need: At least 2 years of proven professional experience as a Chief Steward, or similar leadership role in an industrial or commercial highvolume kitchen Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a team. Excellent knowledge and execution of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and hygiene practices. Good organisational skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment. DIDO experience in hospitality, mining camps, or remote sites is desirable. Advanced knowledge of food safety standards and WHS requirements. Ability to pass a full PreEmployment Medical Assessment including Drug & Alcohol Screen. Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 Certificate highly desirable.(or willing to obtain) Valid National Police Clearance within 12 months. Must have a valid driver''s license in Australia and a Personal reliable vehicle to travel to and from site. Full working rights in Australia.
